On the Hunt for Treasured Egg

Having little kids and even big ones, hunting for Easter eggs is an exciting time. I can recall getting new outfits for the kids and putting together a fun surprise basket on Easter Sunday. The stores will definitely help you out by providing Easter accessories for at least 6 weeks ahead of time. Now that I have older kids, and I’ve gotten older also, my focus has shifted to why do “search” for the treasure so hard every year when we have Jesus with us 24/7? “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Our treasure is living within our hearts, although very few realize it. It is fitting for our culture today to look, search, seek out treasures that have little value. Our Jesus is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold (Psalm 119:72). Seek Jesus and the search is over!
