The foundation of the world has been ruled by laws and regulations. Jesus questioned the Pharisees who were responsible for knowing and interpreting the law for others. Their beliefs were strictly on the written law and not current prophecies. Jesus tried to explain to them and others that He brought freedom from the law by fulfilling the law proclaimed in Isaiah.
Our leadership today like those of Biblical days are very similar. Jesus spoke boldly to these hypecrits in Romans 2: 21-24 “You, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You-who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You-who abhor idols, do you rob temples? You-who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? As it is written: ‘God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you’.” Many people in positions of power consider themselves to be above the law they represent. A good example today is the Clinton family. I consider them a bunch of You-who’s! Learn from the those making mistakes and from the truth God gives in order to live a successful, joyful, Christ-abiding life.
