Held Captive by Government

If you think about all the government rules and regulations, you can conclude that they have a lot to say about how you live, work, play, and die. Our whole life is spent paying taxes on just about everything we own and eat, which is giving to the government a portion of what we work for. We have working regulations, as government employees and private practice employees on when we can work, how much we are payed and so forth, plus taxes. Not saying all rules and regulations are bad, the government has rules to make sure you wear seatbelts while driving, helmets while riding, etc. Others are not so good, in that murderers can get away with killing people by moving to a sanctuary state, criminals are let out of prisons only to commit crime again, women are allowed to kill their unborn babies just because, and people have the right to protest and fight against the government whenever they get their feelings hurt. The government tells us when and if we have the right to amend our feelings. Sometimes the winner is the criminal and sometimes the winner is the innocent citizen. There is no consistency with their decisions, it depends on the judge, the jury, the lawyers, the media, and yes the government.

Nehemiah 9:36-38 “But see, we are slaves today, slaves in the land you gave our forefathers so they could eat its fruit and the other good things it produces. Because of our sins, its abundant harvest goes to the kings you have placed over us. They rule over our bodies and our cattle as they please. We are in great distress”.
