What Is Your Purpose?

Everyone wants an answer to life. Why are we here? What are we supposed to do with our lives? If only we had instructions as parents and then to be able to pass them on to our children. The world tells us to live our lives however we please, to do what feels or seems right. The result of doing whatever seems right creates a chaotic world where we have jails, riots, robberies, and secret addictions. It was like that in the Old Testament when men did what was right in their own eyes. Our human eyes/hearts are evil by nature so that is what is produced. We do have a choice. In 2 Thessalonians 2: 13 we are given instructions if we accept the fact that God chose us to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. Not everyone is going to believe the truth about God. If angels in Heaven who once praised God and saw the truth rejected Him, how much more are we humans whom have never seen God with our own eyes often reject Him. So what is our purpose? If we know the truth about God and accept the fact that He wants a personal relationship, we are to be ambassadors for Him. Letting others know about Jesus and the truth by the lives we live. Jesus gave us the “Great Commission” after His death and resurrection on earth: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

  1. Life’s purpose? To live out the life Christ … in you, your Creator. It’s the reason mankind exists at all. We didn’t evolve here. We were Created here, in Paradise. Then walked away. For those of us who except the choice today, “we” return. To live out the life as it was intended. Not some fake, useless concoction of our own inventions whose only purpose is to enslave.
