How are you able to be strong? This evil world is fighting against us at all angles. Paul mentioned concern for us in 2 Corinthians 11:3, “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ”. It’s just a matter of time when we are deceived. The enemy is very cunning and preys on our weaknesses, our human nature, our greatest desires. Our only defense is The Word. The Bible gives us weapons, called verses, that we memorize and speak out against our nature and weaknesses. God tells us “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:9). So we have a choice about our weaknesses and 2 powers that want to control them. The enemy uses our weaknesses to make us fall, but God uses our weaknesses to show His strength in us. Which one will we choose? I will be honest, allowing satan/human nature to have its way is much easier! Choosing to allow Christ to make us strong is a constant battle but has long-lasting benefits: Joy, peace, comfort, love, patience, grace and a legacy to be proud of.
