Ancestry.com has become a highly popular trend in getting folks to thinking about their heritage. Where do we come from and what were our ancestors like? The Bible is full of ancestry knowledge. God would put a blessing on one’s life that would extent throughout several generations. Some would receive a generational curse. The Bible is a great resource in understanding generations. I believe we inherit generational blessings and curses. Once you understand them, there are ways to break the curse that may be upon your family. Just because you have parents, grandparents or great grandparents who are or were alcoholics, it does not mean you will also. YOU can break the chain of bad decisions from your past, with God’s help. Understanding that God created you in your mother’s womb for a purpose (Psalm 139:13), we can rest assure that our purpose and plan is clear; not having to look for generations, but from the very beginning. Jesus said, “My testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going” John 8:14). God gave Him a clear plan just like the one He provides for each one of His children. Validate your existence with God; “for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
