Live Free, Not Free-Dumb

USA claims to be the greatest country in the world. I believe it’s true based on our history and how far we have come as a nation. I have not traveled to other countries to know their systems and particular way of governing, yet just hearsay tells me we do live in the greatest nation. The freedoms fought for in the beginning are not the same freedoms we are fighting for today. Our nation was founded on freedom of worship and from England’s controlling hand. Recently we have folks fighting not only for their beliefs but to demand everyone accept their beliefs. We have come full circle to a controlling hand that we fought to distance ourselves from over 300 years ago. Forcing your beliefs on someone else is bullying and hatred. We don’t have to believe in the same things. I may feel passionate about God and want to share His love with others, but I’m not going to hate those who don’t want to listen or think little of me. There is a stereotype of Christians who rant and rave and cause others to believe all behave in similar ways. NO way! Our nation is corrupt because of the anger and hatred possessed by people groups who are demanding and refuse to let others have their own belief system. If we all are going to become unacceptable of others, there’s no hope for this nation. Paul tells us in Galatians 5:13-15 “You, my brothers (sisters), were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love”. We are free to make choices for ourselves. Intolerance of others’ freedoms create chaos. Today we are in a chaotic world. Choose to love one another!
