Super Power

I enjoy super hero movies. They give us a temporary escape into an infallible world. Children naturally have an infallible view point of life, most of the time they show no fear or inhibition. They display traits of super powers – willing to jump off high areas, able to stick head between fence rails just to see if it will fit, etc..

Once I accepted Jesus, I gained a super power. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, giving us security, peace, protection and grace. This super power creates an attitude of strength and boldness. We have the power of the Creator of the Universe. Although we are not flying across oceans and leaping over mountains, we are soaring in grace and leaping in faith, because we know that nothing will ever keep us from God’s love and from living in Heaven for all eternity.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
